how to reprogramme remote keyfob after changing battery , UK 2.5v6 elegance

hi all , its been a while...:)

anyway i now there will be fully descriptive thread on here somewhere
but i cant find it
simple problem , i replaced battery on my remote keyfob and have tried to resync it to the car , but its having none of it

can someone please refresh my memory how to do this, because i've tried holding down both buttons for 10+ secs , but the little light wont stay on , i've managed to do it before so its quite annoying

if its just replacing the battery then you should not need to reprogram
