View Full Version : Time for something a little different.....

After 8 1/2 pain-staking hours of fiddley work with a vinyl squeegee and a heat gun, my mate and I finally managed to complete the vinyl wrapping of my new bonnet.

I know it certainly won't be to most peoples taste, but I totally love how my modding is shaping up.

Many thanks to Steve-vr-4ish and WOODY72 for getting the bonnet to me in the first place.

that is the beauty of vinyl wrap it will peel off if you want to.

it is a bold choice of colour but it is your choice for the colour and i quite like the your choice.

something a bit different, nice one.

It was Carbon look before.

As Dave said though, because it's a wrap it doesn't cost much to do other than a bit of time. If I get bored with it or think of a more interesting colour, I can just peel it off and start again rather than spend a fortune on a re-spray.

I think it cost about £45 in total for all the bits to do it with. I was quoted £200 to spray it and £300 for a professional wrap.

Appreciate all the positive comments guys.

Like I said, not to everyone's taste I know but sometimes I think it's good to be a bit adventurous/alternative with custom work :)

Cheers Dave.
I might try one of your club stickers in green. Still thinking about it at the moment.

I will be spraying the fog light surrounds with the same colour soon though.

Pretty sure panel work is acceptable. It's only really FULL chroming you'll have problems with (mainly from insurance issues).

You might find driving when it's sunny a bit of a hassle though :sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny:: sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::s unny:
