Hi all..

Im considering buying a 96' VR4 soon..

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a warranty for this car? Ive tried a few quotes and most wont cover imports...

Any ideas?

Mitsubishi might do you a 'Red Zebra' warranty, provided the car's under 10 years old and has less than 100,000 miles on it... I think it's about £450 for the VR-4?

The other, perhaps more important 'Warranty' with these cars though, is a full history. They can give you a cramp in the wallet region if things go haywire!

Cheers for that..

I might take a trip to my local dealer and ask if they could do a warranty...

And it must be standard, you will also have to cough up for a pre warranty inspection, which isn't cheap either..... :sad3:

I was quoted £780 for a Red Zebra warranty - this was subject to a £100 pre-warranty inspection by Ripon Mitsubishi!

I ended up with a RAC Warranty through the dealer £250 for the year (RAC notified of 4wd, twin-turbos, auto gearbox). Obviously won't be able to say whether this is good value/any good unless something goes wrong.

Thanks mate

I'll have a look into the RAC one...

Was your car an import or ralliart?

For RAC there's a category specifically for VR4/Ralliart. I hope your dealer choose that one for you, and there are 2 levels of cover.
