One of the rear shocks is leaking would this throw out the AYC the light goes out then comes comes back on once moving??

Although the battery has been disconnected for a few days while the cambelt was being done i just drove it onto the drive it never came on again weird.

Nothing to do with your shock. Check your codes, by I bet it is a pump failure, often fixed with an adjustable switch.

Nick how do i check the codes do leggys have the two connectors under the dash to read em and is a ajustable switch a easy job not that o know where to look lol

All seems ok again the red ayc light goes out as normal and stays out

Sorry, but when mine was marginal, the weather(temperature), made a difference. Cold weather, thicker oil, ok, hot weather , not !!!
Hope yours really is ok, maybe just a dodgy high resistance electrical connection that you have wiggled & is now ok.
