No I haven't have just messaged him.
The only thing is if I do go this way then I will need that brembo kit back as I had a look on the bay for another just in case and I can't find any as good or for the same money. Doh.lol

If you want to go for an upgrade like that, have a hunt around the interweb for a company looking to shift old stock or doing deals.

I wanted my D2 8-pots and at £1k, they were a bit much but after locating a company advertising on MLR selling old stock I got them for 25% off.

Well pleased :2thumbsup

Once you get the FL hub carriers, search for a kit to fit an evo 4/5/6.

I bought a full kit ( fitting brackets, calipers, braided hoses etc. ) that comes with everything to bolt straight on. Although it had "Mitsy Evo 4/5/6" written on the box, it bolted straight on.

Just make sure if you go down that road, you have the wheels to fit.
Great excuse for a bit of shopping :D

the idea of getting a new kit was that i didnt need to get the fl hub carriers if i can find one at the right price.
if i get the hub carriers then i will just get the brembo kit off ebay.
as for wheels i already have 2 sets of evo 6 wheels,1 with slicks and 1 with proxies on sat in the garage waitnig to go on.

I see.

Sorry, didn't realise you wanted a kit on the PFL carriers. That might be a needle in a hay-stack!

Have you considered EBC's or Carbotech pads?

I've heard good reviews about Carbotech pads and a lot cheaper than massive 'kits'.

I did a conversion on my pfl and found a set of hub carriers from a 2ltr galant and they fitted perfect and at £100 delivered quite cheap i have evo 6 brembos on mine now. i just looked on eBay for someone breaking galants 2001 and later im pretty sure they all have same carriers.

Mine came from a 2lt facelift also

Any facelift 8th gen galant will have the right hub carriers, but you will obviously need to change the hubs if you get them from a 4 stud wheel model.

There are a couple of options out there for big brake kits on a prefacelift, but I can't remember who does them. If I remember, I'll post up the links.

that looks like a good kit just a bit big for my 17" wheels.
i didnt realise that the hub carriers were the same.
will my hubs off my car fit onto the face lift hubs ok.

thanks everyone for your help. its swaying more to keeping the car.

Yes, the hubs are interchangeable so go get a cheap set from a regular galant.
