Hi Guys, i potentially need a rear diff for my 99FL.

James - I've seen you asking about gearboxes on the forums that potentially don't match your car. Beware that there are a few minor changes on the auto gearbox over the production years, and if you want the new box to be flawless then it is probably a good idea to get one that matches your car, preferably with the ecu that was with the car at the time.

I realise this bit beggars can't be choosers! lol

If I replace it with a different model will I be ok as long as I get the corresponding ecu or not?

I'm not sure there is a definitive answer. Sometimes even with a matching ecu the box doesn't work properly.

Could someone point me in the direction of the location of the gearbox code on the gearbox as I'm having trouble finding it?

I got one spare gearbox with tcu and stuff but it's in Finland. However it's from a 00 galant.

Just got a manual gearbox from UK :D
