Hi,

I am selling my VR4 saloon, tiptronic, 2001(51) metallic dark red, 30,000 miles with Beige leather. purchased off the MD for mitsubishi Uk and serviced at main dealer. It has VDO Sat Nav, television, and 10 stack DVD / mp3 player (£4500)
It has 18' alloys but the originals are included. Has Nardi steering wheel and wooden dash trim to match, climate control, FMSH...£13k

Parkers (http://www.parkers.co.uk)is always a useful starting point - Private 'good' if the car's in very good nick, 'poor' if it's got bumps & scratches! There's quite a difference in price between X and 51 reg, so you'll have to be specific. It's normally the first place I look when a see a car I'm interested in. If the seller's asking for more than list, I usually don't even bother to go further...

£12K maybe £12,500 - £13K with your extras

you need the right buyer to pay that kind of money tho...

a dealer would probably sell it for £13K+

Private Good on Parkers is £10900.
To me, though, Parkers isn't that good a guide (unless you're buying and use it as a bargaining tool).
If your car has FMSH, and is in good nick, i'd put it up for at least £13k

Parkers price it at £11990 private good - I would say parkers is always a "guide"

with the relative scarcity of these cars and low number of "official" ralliart ones in the country - i would agree with sulli and pitch it at £13K+ and work back the way

If you buy that I'll never speak to you again! Same colour and interior as mine (didn't know you could get VR4s in Roanne Red), but mines older (98), a wagon and a V6 not a VR4. :( Fewer miles though. :) Good luck, its a beauty, hope to see you around in it soon.

Maybe it's just me, but I think £13k is too cheap (sorry, an extremely attractive price) for such a rare, accomplished and sought-after car that's not 3½ years old yet and probably cost over £37k new (with the ICE, satnav and wheels). I'd be asking £16k minimum.

Finally found the one I want and my house sale falls through.... WTF!!!

So I'm stuck.... I can't do anything (financially) until the sale comes through, once it's sold, I'm free to buy what i want...

Life's a bitch, then she makes you buy a bigger house and makes you sell your VR4............
