JDM 1996 legnum with factory Navi

ive been told that you can not use the factory Japanese navi in English and that there are no maps available in canada, so if this is true i would like to use the screen on my navi as a monitor. i seen that it has a AUX plug on the side.. what will work to use the screen?
could i get a small back up camera and hook it up to that screen?

I think people have done some stuff. The system is called mmcs so searching using that term plus others might help.
