As per the title, I have a set of 18" Momo alloys. They are 5 x 114.3, 8.5j et35 so clear brembos. I bought these for messing around on track & winter use but could do with the space and don't use the car enough to warrant another set of wheels. No longer have tyres fitted to them but did have 245/40/18's on them. Could do with a refurb courtesy mostly of the tyre fitters struggling to remove the run flats /hammer & one of them has an odd centre cap for some reason?!?!

I do /lol

I must confirm if my current Enkei 17s will fit onto the MR2. If they do, I'll have them (if they havent gone by then), if not, I will have to give them a miss. Will keep you posted.

And if someone gets in before I do, please dont hesitate to sell em.

Atik, I may know someone who will want yours. I think I am right in thinking that you have evo 8s now?

Not on my MR2 /lol
I still have the the stock 14" alloys on.
A friend of mine has Lexus IS200 17" alloys on his MR2 with 10mm spacers on the rears.

Are the fitments the same then Rich? I can do a trial fit this weekend and confirm for myself, but it would save me some hassle if you were able to confirm.

Sorry didn't say that correct then my mr2 and I thought all are wider on the rear not larger on dia.
I've not tried them on ether.

According to the MR2 owners club site: link (http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/know-your-2-knowledge-base/mr2-mk2.html?kbartid=258)

5x114.3, 60.1 centre bore, ET 38 to 42

The Evo 8 wheels are 5x114.3 and ET35 or ET38

Actually, just found a better thread here (http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/forums/59/41923.html) - states common sizes to be able to fit without requiring any mods.

From memory the standard rev2+ wheels are 15" x 6.5 front and 15" x7 rears, I think the 14s follow the same rough spacing. I wouldn't worry too much about keeping the wider wheel on the back, just stick wider rubber on and it will be fine.

I was running the 17" OZ mitsubishi wheels on my MR2 until I decided that they'll look better on the VR4 (after replacing the rubber to all the same size of course)

Saying that, my 1st MR2 was kitted with 215/xx/17 all round when I first picked it up and I only changed that once the rubber had run out. It handled fine, even on track.

Hope that's not too confusing

Stuart

Thats good info Stu. I feel a little better knowing they should fit ok.
The MR2 is the Mk2 with the lowest spec engine pushing 119hp (when new, now 22 yrs old), so its not like I need to get staggered wheels to improve grip at the rears. The car struggles to pull away from a standing start, let alone try to get better grip levels by gaving wider wheel/tyres at the back /lol

I'm looking at selling my mr2 for spares or repair if your interested Atik.
It is a 2l gt-i16, engine is sound as far as I know.
It's mainly rust that is the problem with it.

Bonjour
They will fit but without the arch extensions, these may sit out wider than the car. If you're in Norwich at any point you can try them out or I can drop them off a Tims for you to try.
