Hi folks,

Can you tell me if Galant and Legnum headlight lenses are the same? I know the lights themselves are interchangeable but are the main and dip beam lenses exact copies between the different models?

Cheers.

As long a you are talking all vr4 lenses are he same plastic type, but uk spec galants have 2 piece glass lenses.the split is at the indicator.

Thanks Colin.
Davezj, I mean the interior reflectors themselves, the shiny mirror bits :D. I can't see any reason why they would be different as long as the headlights themselves are interchangeable.

Oh I see, I have no idea about the shinny reflectors bits.
But as you say I can't see any reason why the would be different.

Are they glass or plastic?
Not sure if its relevant .... But I had plastic lenses on an Astra that had gone yellow and had scuffs and applied a bit of G3 compound with some meticulous circular movement with a bit of mutton cloth and they came up like new :)

I've read somewhere ........ Toothpaste is also something you could use ????
If it was me I'd go with 1500 and 2000 grit wet and dry as long as theres no raised bits to the lenses then top application of a uv protector.

I got some Sol paste, I think it is very similar to the 3G stuff.
I have not used it yet but it is supposed to be very good on plastic lenses.
