just been to miti to get a price for my gearbox ,and bloke says will do it at trade price for you it will be 4200 befor tax .must think i was born yesterday ,what a arse

yeh thay probly do 2 for 10,000,you could see on the sreen saying that thay was 3,600 inc vat

You can get a full recon for around £1200 from an autobox specialist.

Personally I would buy second hand unit from a member on here at leat then you will know some history of it.

Would an evo auto box be ompatible, the manual ones are with a bell housing change.

good thinking il look into it , see if can get output bearing done first tho, if anyone could point me in the right way would be a great help

Evo Auto boxes are like hens teeth and fetch silly money. They also have a few difference to the VR4 box that make a change hard.Main ones are:
Evo doesn't have a manual speed sensor
Bell housing is different
Final drive and pinion gear is different
External oil filter is deleted
TCU is combined with the ECU :(
Non starter I am aftraid
Whats wrong with your box?
