Yep sure, the bonnet has been prepped for paint so smooth but will require complete spray (unless you leave it with the contrasting wrap :))

Sorry for the delay, I was waiting for the mechanic to get back. They will come with modified isolators from my old 3000GT engine to make them easy fitment so in theory, yes, should drop straight in. No idea what power they are good for but been running a treat with my TD04's on 1.1 bar

All being well, I want to have 1 last rolling road blast now the car is finally complete to get an idea of power for the turbo upgrade kit, which should be next Wednesday / Thursday, then I will drop it straight off to the garage for parts to be removed as & when they are paid for. I will post up when the RR has been done & then anyone that has called dibs can start sending payment for the bits to be sent out within a few days. Hope thats ok with everyone?

Yep they are red. Think the inlet is standard but done so much to it I have lost track. I will be able to get pictures when bits start getting taken off. Car wise, still trying to negotiate a deal but will post up if it goes ahead & once my first parts have arrived :)

Just went out on one of the last drives as a complete car & got one of the biggest flames out the back I have ever experienced (& I used to have an Evo with rally cams :d). The passenger sh@t himself & the country lane was sufficiently lit. Really gonna miss this beast :(

On a side note, I can't believe no one has shown an interest in the turbo upgrade yet?!?! If someone is tempted, I may be interested in doing a deal as long as you have standard manifolds, ecu & non smoking turbos to swap in as I have had a cunning plan that may find use of my engine /pan

2x TD04-13G's from a UK Mitsubishi 3000GT (bigger than earlier ones & most imports), all the required oil & water pipework required to make this kit fit (some silicone, some braided), modified manifolds with custom outlets, hard pipes, intake pipes, alternator bracket. Turbos & manifold have been ceramic coated in pearl white to help keep engine bay temperature down. This kit will fit with standard radiators & air con still in situ. I paid to get this kit redone several times as I was not happy to remove these parts. Several months and far too much money has been spent on this so hope it goes to a good home!

Just a note that if you have a PFL auto, you may have to modify this slightly to fit round the external gearbox filter. Manuals & late 2nd / 3rd FL autos should be fine (Anyone interested, please check yourself to make sure you do not have this filter)!

Car has been booked in for week commencing 19/8 to be stripped. Does anyone need there parts urgently / in desperate need for theirs? Some of the bits like the computer, wideband etc have never been fitted since I have bought them so can be dispatched sooner. Likewise, anything that can be removed that will not affect my ability to drive the car to the garage can also be removed sooner.

Yep, got all that & in very good condition. No wear on stalk & all elements work, built in aerial works aswell. Only issue is the rear wiper washer jet doesn't spray. I can hear the pump going but no spray so guessing the line or nozzle may be blocked

Even if you could get to somewhere like Braintree, it would save me a bit of distance. Like you say though Chris, it all depends on 'when'.

If I were to meet and collect some parts off you, I could also store or drop off parts to other members nearby if this helps. I don't have a van though, just the Legnum with the rear seats down.

Graham ( WOODY72 ) is usually massively helpful as a part time storage and drop off point, so could get stuff as far his place if it helps any. Obviously as long as he's cool with that.

Depends if it is just literally this you are after or whether you would rather have a set of standard Tubs / pipes aswell? I have come to a deal with Colin on my uprated bits so the engine should be an almost complete unit (things like ECU (still available) & injectors / leads will be removed). I had in the back of my mind that I could then head over to the FTO OC & sell the whole lot but I would rather keep another VR4 living if I can. PM me what you are after & I will reply with my thoughts on costs

Its a universal one which has been moulded to the shape of the dash. The gauges are motor meter IIRC as very similar colour to the main dash lights but got white VR4 stickers over them. I had cut a piece of perspex to cover them up but the tint was too dark for the Swinks style computer I was going to mount underneath them

Right, the car strip is in progress. I have penciled out a rough order of what parts I want off in what order but does anyone on here need any of their bits urgently so I can prioritise them? IE, car is currently off road & part required to get it moving / car booked in at garage & want to do this at same time / set aside time over the bank holiday to do some work.

If people could reply as to ideal ETA's it would be appreciated & anyone that doesn't, I will sort delivery costs out once I have the urgent parts sorted. If no response, I will basically get the bits off in order of posts in this thread.

It's not urgent, but I think Ramjam might be interested in a couple of engine parts if they are up for grabs?

He's just had his tappets done, but the front bank on his motor is incredibly ticky indeed. I am a little bit put off by the guy who did the job, but I know his boss and he wouldn't let an idiot work on a customers car.

Would you be happy to split the engine or even sell the whole engine (minus gearbox, turbo's etc obviously)?

I know it's a long shot, but I just thought I'd ask.

I would rather sell it as one lump than start pulling the engine apart. I was ideally after £400 just for the lump & if he fancies driving it up to collect some parts, I can get it fitted done inc the exhaust fitting for £300 (excluding fluids) by the Ralliart master tech that has done literally everything to mine. If not I don't mind sorting a pallet out but no idea how much the delivery would be

EDITED: just a thought, he hasn't fitted the some tappets from the group buy? I bought some for spares just in case mine ever started playing up but ended up throwing them in the skip

However I am looking for a few small bits that I had seemed to misplaced during my engine change.

They are the two mounting brackets that hold electrical plugs on the left and right hand side of the plenum, the LH one is for the cam and crank plugs and he same sort of bracket on the right next to the condenser I think it is. I have pics if that would help? Also in the centre console the little black plastic box I cracked when I got it out trying to find where the lambda sensor went and the window buttons on the drivers door as mine lifts up.

Just to let you know I have the 2x brackets & the inner box off the car & with me at work if you still need them. I would rather keep the window switches with the door cards at the minute to be honest but might split them up at a later date depending on what people need

Yeah would still like those bits please just let me know how much and ill get it sorted. My car went for the emissions without a cat, K&N filter and sports exhaust and failed the co badly. So going to fit the standard system and filter and see what happens. If still bad I might need your lucky cat, how much would you want for that? With the cat did you ever use heat wrap to try keep it warm and will it help? I'm so close to being back on the road.
Wish I has loads if cash so could get mine as ticked out as yours was.

Na ya don't, they are a waste of money :d Ah right, not surprised it failed without the cat but should be ok if you just put one of them on. Mine was ok with big tubs, injectors, pipes etc & only cat fitted & no issues when cold either but I know others have had to go out for a thrash first to get theirs warm. I would love another bike but need to sort a house out first. If the weather was better for more of the year I would be getting a VFR 800 but gonna stick with cars for now. Project 48 would have been a Lexus SC430 with some seriously random modifications but I want such a specific model year & colour combo, the only one for sale, the owner is a complete tw@t. Might just buy an old T5 or Jeep for the winter & get onto an new project once I've sorted a house out :(

Yeah that little cubby hole with the switches looks good to me. If i could have that with those brackets, cant remember what else i said i accidently deleted my entire page of messages in my inbox. Is there a way of getting them back?

Looking back over the last pages it was the fuel flap that you open inside the interior you said in one of the emails that Anderz was definitly having the cruise control. Trying not to get mixed up between you and swinks.

Might be interested in the gauges and the alarm at a future time but i will let you know and but obviously money talks.

Yep fine so fuel cap, brackets, switch / tray thing for now. This ties up with what I have. Will just need to get the fuel cap off the car so will try to sort tomorrow. There are a few bits I need to collect from the mechanic as keep collecting parts & forgetting bits that people have requested. I'm on a different planet at the minute :(

Yes mate the FL bonnets have a bigger 'bulge' and I personally think they look alot more aggressive :)
