Hi All

Am thinking of installing an EBC, anyone have any thoughts on the following
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gizzmo-MS-2-Electronic-Boost-Controller-FCD-Turbo-Timer-/110765088453?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19ca1d1ec5
Any other suggestions welcome.
Thanks

I had one of those Jim, not bad for the money and pretty easy to set up and use.

I have one currently on my Legnum.....

good bit of kit. I've never had any problems with it. Didn't feel the need to splash out on an expensive one.

setting it up is straight forward enough, installs the same as other ebc's . setting up takes 30 mins of playing with , think they are a good bit of kit myself .

Hi Mark, nice to hear from you again. It does seem to be good value, did you have any problems with it. Must try and meet up for a beer one night

I've had one of these in my Galant for a while now. Does exactly what it says on the tin, was easy to install, set up can be fiddly as there are only 2 buttons.

Worst thing about it is, at night it is sooooo rediculously bright. I ended up fitting the control unit into the panel just above the coin tray under the ignition.

Gona remove mine soon tho, as my Vipec ecu will control the boost progressivly through the rev/power band. If it wasn't for the Vipec i would be keeping the Gizzmo as it works realy well.

Is it not cheaper to get a Foxdie remap?

My only concern with that EBC is the incorporated fuel cut defender. If it bypasses the factory fuel cut completely, rather than raising the fuel cut level, I wouldn't like to have it. Fuel cut is there for a reason! /yes

I would ask/check if it can be adjusted or at least turned off.

For half price you'll get HKS EVC 4. Pretty stright forwad and easy to use ebc.

If you haven't already purchased the Gizmo? Then i know where there is a trick piece of kit for around the same money. It is used but costs more than double that when new.

If it's an e-01 then I'll take it dude.

Yes Jim, good value and I do not recall any problems at all but I am sure that I paid a lot less than £200. Beer sounds good :runkest:

Never had an issue with mine with regards to fuel cut. When I installed it fuel cut was at the stock level and stayed there. (obviously it stayed there but the EBC didnt bypass it)

Even when I had Jason raise the fuel cut level for me and I started playing with the boost, fuel cut was still not being bypassed. Just ask Ben when it was on the rollers it kept hitting fuel cut so had to wind it in to get a readout lol.

Took me about 30 mins to get my head around the functionality due to only having 2 buttons but once youve mastered it its simple to use and Ive never had an issue with it.

ok, have received my gizmo ms2. Need some help, the fuel cut defender has to go into the load sensor, which is normally a MAP sensor, according to the instructions. Anyone no which wire I need to connect this to, looked at ecu pinouts but not sure which wire this is going to be.
Thanks
