Hello I'm Richard

I'm looking for a cheap VR4 or an engine with colplete wiring.

Due to an engineswap into my 2.5 V6.

And of course all the information I'll need.

Hi Richard,

Welcome to cvr4. :D

If you are plan planning to swap the engine, from my experience it will be better to buy a whole car and swap over parts, rather then just buy just an engine and loom. There is much more involved, so a complete car becomes handy.

Dutch guys like NLduffyNL or MarkSanne may help you with info as well. Good luck and keep us updated about the progress.

there will be people with engines and looms for sale but shipping will be very expensive.
you are better off trying to source locally.

After these pictures were taken, i've done some changes.
In stead of the 215/45 17's it now has 225/45 17 in front and 245/45 17 on the rear.
It also has the bigger rearbumper and sidesills and extensions.639176391863919639206392163917639186391 96392063921

Welcome to the club. Looks like a nice clean car :) I have probably 95% of the parts you will need but be amazed if it could be sent for under £250. Give me a shout if you get stuck but a whole car will probably be your best option

I am mow stripping a highly modified, fully working vr4 simply because I fancy a change & its worth more in bits than as a whole car. My thread is here:

http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?69164-Loads-of-random-rare-parts

I have an entire engine, ecu, standard turbos, full wiring harness etc. The only bits that will be missing that you will need will probably be inlet manifold, injectors, fuel rail & air box from memory. I wanted £400 for the engine or £650 with turbos, alternator etc or £800 with ECU. Will be open to offers on it as the whole lot or if you want to let me know what you need. Really got no idea how it will all get packaged etc, unless you fancy a trip over in a van :)

Hey Richard, Welcome to Cvr4!
I really like your car man :)
You want to do the engineswap yourself?
Else you might want to contact JJCP.EU at GF forum.
He did my motorswap and did Erics. (Watch out, Eric had budget problems wich didnt make the swap as good as he would like it in the first place)
Got in total 3 vr2's who're coming there once in a while for maintanance and stuff :)
You might want to contact him.

Please make sure you have your budget complete to do it all at once... its cheaper and looks way better when you do!
Feel free to contact me, im allways willing to help you or advise.

Cheers!

Yeah, I second that. :)
Make sure you have a general estimate of what the total swap is going to cost and then probably multiply that by 2 for all small parts and problems you run into.
Although my car is now fully built, it cost me a lot more then it should have.

Also, I'd advise you to have a second car to get to work and such.
I didn't have that luxury so I took a week off to get mine done, downside was that it HAD to be fixed at the end of the week so I could get to work.
Because of that, the small problems and parts needed all put pressure on the time schedule and therefore decreased the fun of the built.
Even the smallest parts can take some time to find and get delivered at your place, if that means stalling the built it can significantly raise the downtime of your car.

If you have any questions you can always contact me. :)
