So Today...

Had the VR4 at work and decided to go check the post box. Thrashing it up Parnell (Eat that Audis etc ;P), full **** 1st and 2nd, BOV on every change etc haha

Then went to Supermarket, went to leave Super market and starts fine, idles great - So much as look at the gas peddle = Dies.

Kept starting and trying to take off for 30 mins, gave up and got a ride back to work. Came back an hour later, boom no problem, drove home after work, no problem.

Had the mechanic at work look, he could hear a tick each time the relay kicked in - Is this ok or does that mean its stuffed?
Does this mean the fuel pump could be poop? - Id rather try the cheapest solution first ($5 for Adams relay) but don't want to if im way off the mark with the real issue?

Any advice bois? Thanks!!

Relays are electromechanical devices that work by creating a magnetic field in an electrical coil, which moves a contact from one place to another. The noise you hear is that contact hitting either of its resting spots.

You could just bypass the relay to see if that's the issue.
