Hi,
just found a very skilful man, who has made some pistons and conrods for different JP and EU cars.
So i need to get one piston with rings and one conrod(is it in two piece?).

I am willing to pay for them, so please if somebody has a spare set of these, please inform me.
Think this may be useful for lots of peaple here.

If you don´t have them(even somekind of broken one, just enough for a sample) please can you find out from your dealer the prices, because it is very hard for me to find any price just because the car is not sold or serviced in Estonia and anywhere in the EU(except UK).

Thanks for any kind of info.

Hi again,

have spoken to a specialist in making pistons.

IT IS POSSIBLE !!! BTW: Thank you VALMES !!!!!!!!

The price will be approx 150€/piston.

Then it will be forged pistons with rings. They should be fine up to 200BHP per piston.

Conrods is a bigger problem. They want at least 60 pcs per order. But they are calculating a price at the moment for the cnc setup.

I have not tried them, but know one calibra in Finland runs 600 Bhp with these pistons and it is a 4 cyl !!!!! So should be trustworthy.

I will order a set for my VR4 within 1-2 months, i can order one extra piston and send it to UK, maybe it makes the decision simpler if one could see the real thin g.

Hope it is a good info!

Good News Marcel! You are welcome btw :)
I will probably order a set of 6 pistons and rods, when they will be available... can they make them (pistons) a bit bigger, for a bored out block???

yes they can, but you have to give the exact size you want to have.

Also, we could have a discount if we order some 4 or more sets.

who is interested?

Markel

pistons is no problem, but for conrods i don´t know. they will give me the price and then lets see if it makes any sense.

if you are interestd in rods i can get agro rods for 2000AUD a set of 6 +shipping and taxes

and the ross pistons i think had come down becuse of the currency exchange between USA and AUS so they are around 1600AUD,+shipping and taxes

If any one is interested, let me know and I will check on these prices

I have also found some new injectors that i will be testing in the coming weeks

these are the pistons and rods i am running and have had it over boost to 26lb and was detonating and there was no damage, and we did a couple of runs with it,like that. the arp head studs and stock head gasket held perfectly

That is rather too tempting at just under £1500 for pistons and rods. :rolleyes4

Fantastic price!
BDA and anyone who are building their engines found the address & phone no. of a company that does pistons, rings, big and main bearings. It is -----
South London Pistons,
194-202 Old Kent Rd,
London,
SE1 5UA.
Tele. --- 0207 7032156.
Fax. --- 0207 7014605.
Thought I had lost the address, but just found it now not sure if they are still arround or if the no.`s still work. They as far as I know only do standard parts and I found them to be quite cheap for my last turbo car.
Hope this is of help to anyone!!!

you wont run 2 bar boost on standard parts

you will run 2 bar boost on ross pistons with argo rods, stock head gaskets with ARP headstuds. revlimit at 8500 rpm on standard springs and valves with light port job to heads.

email me at fullthrottle@iinet.net.au

if interested in getting any of the above mentioned parts

will be also testing 670cc injectors in the following weeks these are direct fit.

will make more information available once we have done some more testing on the spray patern and how they perform on the car.

I can say they will cost 100AUD each and will require you to exchange your old injectors.

So have you tried those new injectors? How well did they perform?

still waiting on a couple of other parts then will be putting the injectors in.

Current set up dosen't require the extra fuel yet.
