I can't open the links for some reason on my phone. However just keep in mind that those lights won't pass a WOF

Actually, is that listing for a conversion kit or for a whole headlight assembly?

Its a kit kinda thing, like what Gly did in this thread: http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?61907-Bi-xenon-HID-Projector-conversion-DONE!&highlight=projector

From the VIRM -

A high-intensity discharge (HID or Xenon HID) conversion kit consists of an HID bulb with a high voltage power output or ‘ballast’ which fits into the original headlamp unit in place of the original bulb with no change to the headlamp lens, reflector or housing.

It is illegal to fit an HID conversion kit to a vehicle as it brings the headlamp out of standards compliance by producing poor beam patterns and light that is far too bright to be safe. The bulbs can also produce light that is noticeably blue and not the required substantially white or amber colour. Vehicle and headlamp manufacturers do not permit this modification, and these kits cannot be LVV certified.

It is permitted to replace a complete halogen headlamp unit with a complete HID headlamp unit.

its a complete retro fit kit with new reflector and lens.
does not use the original reflector and has proper cut of lines.

its not just a bulb and ballast

and ive hed not issues getting wofs with them,
neither has ken,

they do use the original housing, but thats not been an issue
and for lights to fit like original they need to be "original"

I had an issue once (one out of 5 WOFs now). The inspector (His english wasn't great) saw the ballasts and said "No HID, can't be certified" We had to go to the VIRM manual and he continued having trouble understanding english but finally conceded when I pointed out the bits Carsten has highlighted yellow. (And I explained what they meant in english :P)

+1

also I had HID bulbs in the stock reflector housings for a 2 WOF inspections. passed both times, even though it technically is Illegal.
as long as its installed and adjusted correctly, most people don't care
