Can anyone tell me if the front and rear door handles are the same / interchangeable? If so I may look at installing rear handles on the front to remove the door locks.

flat battery means you cant unlock your car.
with a legnum they have the key hole in the boot so you can open the rear hatch and crawl through the boot to open the car. not so much in the galant with fixed rear seats.

yep, but if you dont want it in your boot, it really sucks!!! mrs has keyless doors, and battery under the bonnet,
as the subs in the boot take up that space.

not a fun task trying to get the car open

Got around to doing mine today! Maybe I'm being too fussy but I couldn't get them to fit as perfectly as the originals. Using the rubbers from the original handles worked better although not quite as snugly.
