Newbie On The Block

Hello all. My latest acquisition is a Legnum VR4 which I am looking forward to having a good old raz in as soon as I can ( currently recovering from back surgery). Have had a couple of GTO's N/A and TT, but had to sell as I couldn't find a shoe horn big enough to lever my ever expanding fat ass out off. So have now plumbed for speed and comfort.

The car I believe was the 1999 Ralliart predecessor of the 2000my face lift. Finished in Mauve, not the best colour I admit. I also understand it's the one Clarkson used to thrash around in and gave it rave reviews. The previous Reg was MMC 536. I'll get the Chassis # as soon as I can and hopefully have all this verified.

I wondered if any of the previous owners were on here? Colin.

What I'm looking to do is bring the car to show condition and add a few subtle upgrades. I'm currently deciding whether or not to re-paint. Seats need sorting but I know an excellent trimmer who will do this/Devil5. Also needs a new screen which is booked in. Does anyone know what happened to the reg number MMC 536?

NoI wasn't, it's 5w 30. I was thing of my GTO's

Use 0w-30! As Don at Amsoil says, it's difficult to make a bad 0w-30!

These engines do need fully-synthetic anyway, but they do like a good one. A lot of members on here swear by Amsoil, not least because of the Club discount. Castrol EDGE gets used a bit too.

i got a quote from autoglass of just short of £600 to replace the windscreen on my VR4, if i had windscreen cover it would have only cover £300 and the rest i would have had to pay, so check before you book the glass replacer that you are fully covered.
