Legnum or Galant?

Hello all.
Were all post 2000MY cars imported? are the Estate versions all Legnums. Here's why, I have a 1999 (2000MY) VR4 but has galant emblems to the tailgate. It's Trigger Mauve with Beige hide interior. Many thanks in advance. Colin J.

All VR4's are imports, from 1996 to 2002. How they were imported and who by changes.

As yours says Galant on the back I would say it is an "official import". In other words, Mitsubishi UK imported it, did the SVA test and registered it, and supplied it as new in the UK. However, it is still an import. The VR4 was never type approved for the British or European market.

So your car would have left the factory with LEGNUM written on the back, the speedo in km/h and no rear foglight.
