Hi all,

Really need an alternator as at the minute my car is a day drive only. As soon as i put the lights on the voltage at idle drops down to 7.5v from 9.5V at idle, when i put the lights on the my radio drops out, the ABS light comes on and the rev needle goes to zero.

Not sure what i have on mine currently as dont really want to remove it as i can, at the moment, still use her. Ideally i'd like to get a 120A one so it would cater for any future potential projects. Can't really say i'm looking forward to this job as it was hard enough to get out when i was doing my engine change.

Oh yeah i forgot to ask does any other model use the same alternator as the VR4 just to widen my search for one.

Cheers everyone

Marc

There is a guide in the members area on how to remove and replace. It's not that hard as long as you have a bit of patience

Cheers chris,

Thanks for the alternator and i can and can't wait to fit this. Hopefully will fix the lack of electric my car generates but not looking forward to the job. But at least she will be back.

Many thanks
Marc
