This has a 2.0 4G63 N/A engine: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-Mitsubishi-rvr-4x4-get-ready-for-winter-/331080275108?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4d15ec14a4

Thanks for the link, unfortunately the engine is orientated the wrong way for my needs.

Are you sure it's not a 4g93 your looking for?

The 2.0 engine in the 8th gen galant is a 4G63 as far as I know.

Yeah the 4G94 is 2L but only in lancers, I'm guessing he did get either the 2.0 or 4G63 part right. I think it would be a SOHC version then wouldn't it?

Yep. As far as I know it is a SOHC 16 valve 138ish bhp version of the 4G63. Pretty bullet proof usually.

There is a guy a few doors round from me that has a 2.0l estate. He has bought a replacement car but is waiting for a terminal fault on the Galant to justify buying tax for the replacement. He mentioned to me yesterday that the tax & mot are up in August so he might bite the bullet and tax the replacement then anyway. Let me know if you want me to find out a price? I'm sure he would want rid of the whole car, not just the engine.

Hi Nick, thanks for the offer but the cost of getting a full car recovered from your location to mine wouldn't be worth while am afraid. Thanks for the offer also Mark, but unfortunately its only the 2.0 I need for a project.

What is your location? A quote through shiply.com could be around £130 or so. Obviously depending on distance.

Possibly mate, but add on the cost of the car, and the fact that I would have to get it scrapped once engine is out sounds like quite a bit of hassle.
