Gear box oil

Hi, in the process of doing a manual conversion as wanted to know how many liter of oil to put in manual box and trasfer box. Also i have castrol vmx to put back in, is this ok ? Thanks Adam.

I don't know what castrol dmx is. I use amsoil severe gear oil in the transfer box. The gearbox needs gl-4, you must not use gl-5.

Sorry, should have said transfer box is just over half a litre, gearbox is just under 3.

To be clear on this, DON'T use gearbox oil that states it is GL-4 and GL-5 spec/compatible. It must be GL-4 ONLY.
