My car has failed it's MOT today, unsurprisingly as none of my cars seam to want to pass first time. There are a few bits which are an easy fix like the wipers, washer jet aim and the headlamp aim. The ones that will bit a little more pricey are the offside wheel bearing (nearside is an advisory) and the major leak from the exhaust (front and middle section).

Where are the best places to find these parts, I've been on Camskills and they list 3 bearings at 3 prices, are the cheaper ones for £98 listed as evo 4 bearings the ones that I'll need?

Also failed on offside rear brake binding (probably just needs a strip down and clean up) and the nearside rear brake is recording little or no effort as is the offside. Is this going to be just a case of stripping them down as before I had the car it had been stood since August.

Of the three hubs listed, one is a rear. The two fronts are both correct fitment, one is a genuine Mitsubishi one is not. I personally bought some from the USA last time I needed some, the exchange rate was good then but I got a pair for £100 delivered.

The rear brakes almost certainly just need a caliper strip and clean. The sliders are the usual culprit for seizing up. When you get them sorted, make sure you grease them with a high temp lithium type grease (only sparingly) and not copper slip.

It's these ones that I was looking at
http://www.camskill.co.uk/m22b0s1401p88935/MITSUBISHI_LANCER_EVOLUTION_%28EVO_4_CN9A%29_-_SERVICING_PARTS_TUNING_SPARES_and_SERVICE_ACCESSO RIES_-_Front_Wheel_Bearing_Kit_Hub_-_Mitsubishi_Legnum_VR4_EC5W_EC5A

Will these not work?

Sweet. I had my car MOT at the Halfords across from my work place and they wanted £438 (fitted) for just the offside. I told them I would find someone else to do it lol.

Genuine mitsy prices could be more than camskill. So if it is £300 for the hub at Mitsy prices and then they have budgeted 2-3 hours then I guess that's the cost. That is why aftermarket parts and DIY exists!

Good news, I'm now in possession of a fresh MOT certificate. It's not been on the road since August last year, that's another one back terrorising the roads. It is now running so well, new front wheel bearings and disc and pads all round as they had seized. Exhaust leak fixed and it's now back to the standard air box with a k&n panel filter, it seams very responsive now. Not bad for £820, some one had looked after and spent loads of money on it before the person I brought it off put it in a garage and forgot about it.
