Hi all, I'm planning on replacing the Tanabe shock absorbers on my PFL Legnum with some standard shocks as I feel the ride is quite harsh. The car is running stock wheels and tyres, standard springs in the back and HKS lowering springs in the front.

'm debating whether to get the KYB Excel-G (OEM standard), or the KYB Ultra-SR (supposedly uprated for the same price). I'm leaning towards the Ultra SR's, but I'm after comfort more than performance as this is my daily driver. Would I be better off with the Excel-G's? Money isn't an issue as there's only £20 between them.

If the ride is the same with both shocks, then I'd go for the 'better built' Ultra-SR's. However if it's a case of comfort vs sport, I'll buy the Excel-G's.

Cheers!

Apparently, Ultra SR are still build in Japan, Excels are made in Czech republic, I would chose build in JP option. You will not feel much (if any) difference in ride quality on either of them.
