Hi all
I've got a set of bonnet struts but seem to be unable to get them to fit without causing the carbon to bulge has anyone Achieved this? Any pics?

you probably have bonnet struts designed for a metal bonnet, which is much heavier and the struts are stiffer. the carbon bonnet needs much softer bonnet struts to use them.

you may start cracking you carbon bonnet if you leave the corrent struts on there. take them off soon as possible.

I'd be interested in buying the struts from you if you end up sourcing the correct struts for a CF bonnet.

Stock bonnet struts are 450N ish, you will need struts in range 200N - 100N. Can't give you exact strenght because it depends on make and built of bonnet. I had 120N struts, but few people found that 200N were better.

You can try Evo 7-9 bonnet struts. Those work OK with light bonnet. Few sets on eBay.
