You mean the bump strip that runs across the door about a 1/4 of the way up it?

When I removed mine, it was bonded on. There were locating plates behind it, these were small plastic squares/rectangles with locating dowels sticking out of them.

Gently prize away from the door and cut the sealant with a craft knife or stanly blade. Once they are off you can worry about removing the rest of the sealant as it will be a lot easyer. Be carefull tho as the edges can chip easily. I managed to chip about 2mm off the rear curved portion of my rear door strip as I was a bit over enthusiastic with the screwdriver.

For refit I found that 'dry fitting' the strip without any sealant, then outlining it with masking tape before removing the strip again to apply the sealant, allowed me to get a nice edge and no dribbely bits of sealant on the door.
