Anyone thought of dropping twin GT15`s on? I think they are small enough and this place http://www.forcedairtech.com/stage4.html has them as the stage IV upgrade for scubbies capable of 400+ bhp

Looks like they are the standard turbo`s from the VW/Audi/Seat 1.9Tdi range should should be readily available from scrapyards, hmmm.. may have to strip the one off my audi and have a look at it one weekend :D

:) :d
I didn't say anything!!! I just thought they were too small for my(!) needs! Anyhow you are making 400BHP right now with NOS, so I don't really see the point in getting a set of two GT15 to be able to flow MAX of 400BHP!!! They will require some work to be done to your piping and existing manifolds, won't they? And if it is not a bolt on upgrade to get extra 40BHP (in terms of flow.. though it is also questionable, read what they say in a lower right corner on the same page) than why bother? Just an opinion...

PS: There are some electric blowers on e-bay that provide 400CFM of flow :) ... they look way better than GT15!!! :D ... Just kidding...

A max of 400bhp may be at the upper limits of some peoples dreams! Besides, the GT17s are similar and also readily available. With the ball bearing turbos you may get a better boost curve with more boost earlier on as well.

I was thinking about a big single as I have a cunning plan for the piping! :rolleyes4

I think I will grab myself a couple of GT15`s and see if its possible and start from there. If I can get them cheap I can always upgrade them again later.

You want to fit GT15-17 - well lets see what will come out of it!
Single turbo... hmm, discussed this earlier. I wont argue about that again.

I guess I should start looking for someone to manufacture those twin turbo manifolds now...

The single turbo is more of an afternoon project to prove a point :x

Twin turbos is the way I want to go ;)

so BDA are you thinking of running the exhaust pipes to one point over the gearbox having your turbo there ???

Could that work ?
