Prefer not to wait to long but if the price is right i can wait because i have like no money because a stupidly high powerbill this month. but out of all my cars my legnum was my daily driver and my wof and rego on my 300 expired last week which i have no money for that either same with my jaguar. just got a new wof on the legnum with a years rego then this happens lol

where abouts are you getting an alloy radiator from and how much? i had a look on trademe but they all seemed to be alloy core with plastic tanks.

i fitted a evo 4-6 alloy rad, you need to move the lower mounts(on the car) to make to work, but it does fit.

"scarles" on trademe did the alloy rads for the vr4

Scarles dont do them anymore as the quality with hit and miss. You can get them off ebay for about $330 + shipping from aus.

Hope yours cant last until reece replaces his lol. If the plastic tanks didn't look so hard to take off and put on someone could just send one of those down, would be smaller and weigh a lot less than a full radiator lol.

Would this one also fit the same way as glys evo one and whats the quality like?

yep, pretty much the same at the alloy job i fitted,
takes a little work but it does fit, and lots more brands to choose from in the evo range

heres a old thread, http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?36634-questions-about-cooling

i also moved to a push fan setup, which has proved to work just fine, haven't cooked the motor yet :D

dont really have time to try fit an evo one atm and cant really afford $399 for an alloy one. and so far all the wreckers are trying to ask for $140+ for there radiators that have hair line cracks where mine has cracked so not keen to buy a grenade that can leak at any moment. . . depends when reece will get an alloy one i might have to fork out for a brand new stock one, cant really afford it but its only like $50 more than the wreckers and at least it comes with a 12month warranty

Or you can get the tank replaced. Any decent radiator shop can do it and will probably cost you 100 bucks.
Unfortunately there is no free fix here!

cheapest radiator shop to replace the top tank was $170 minus gst if i take the radiator out so im like i'll pass was going to get a new one but luckily badger is putting his alloy one in this saturday so will buy his stock one he takes out. works out good because really needed to go to the west coast next weekend
