Has anyone replaced their own front discs and pads on a V6 Sport - are there any special tools required or is it quite straight forward? I'm not an idiot when it comes to mechanics but the last car I worked on was a 1.3 ltr mk3 Astra 'L'!

I've just been quoted £120 for two discs and £37 for the pads - seems a little steep for plain old rotor's to me? I'm probably going to have to sell the car in the next few months so don't want to have to spend out any more than necessary :)

how much !!!!! they are pulling your leg mate i paid £60 for the front pair from the local motor factors (linco components), you don't need any special tools to change the disc's or pads and they are a peice of pi$$ to do it took me about 1 1/2 hrs to do front disc's and pads and rear pads and change the brake fluid as well all on a gravel drive (i've got dents in my knees to prove it).
