Hi guys,

I am searching for a turbo for my car. Going single setup. Now the question is.
Is a Precision turbo 6262 billet T3 a/r .63 good or to small or to big?

Thanks,

Chris

I would say give Adam Findlay a shout he is in the process of doing a single turbo conversion and has undoubtedly been through this entire thought process in great detail
I will do it for you Adam.Findlay

It all depends on how much power you want to make.

I am unfamiliar with Precisions sizing, however I assume 6262 will be a 62mm inducer compressor wheel which is pretty big id say that is a 600+ hp capable compressor
Having the small .63 AR turbine housing will help it spool up, but will choke it high up in the revs. you would need a .86 turbing housing on it to get the full potential of the turbo but that will also make it laggier.

Getting a Twin scroll manifold will help it spool earlier. as well as having a properly designed manifold. I am currently making a manifold for my single turbo conversion and here are some pics

the 6262 would be a good turbo if you can live with some lag. (at a guess I would say it would see boost at 4250-4500 RPM as long as it had a good manifold) Like I said to start with, it all depends on what you want from the car, decide that first, and then buy a turbo to suit.
