Is the ECU OK after the water damage? If so could I be the first to ask for it?

I don't want anything just curious what happened to it?
Water damage? how? did it drive into a lake or something?
Looking at it, it seems as though it could be repaired.. I've seen buckled driveshafts etc and severe dents that looked like right-offs that were repaired.
Why ditch a £32,000 car that a good hair dryer could fix? :D

Nice one! the Recaros eh? I've got them too, the only problem they aren't hight adjustable so you're virtually sitting on the floor.
You get used to it after a while though.

I was called about this car from an email I sent about an ECU a couple weeks back - :INSERT INTO post VALUES ( forgot to post on here but called Barry at the time.
The car was FLOOD damaged which is why it was written off and I can confirm the ECU is knackered as they called me to say it was water damaged and rusty :INSERT INTO post VALUES ( - sorry Haydar

Looks like its got the flared wheel arches....must be worth a litle bit for those who want them.....easily popped off and painted trigger mauve! shame to see it in its grave yard though!. :Cry1:

Need to be careful on the wheel arches :nono: . It can easily cost more to paint them than to buy brand new ones already painted! Since the moldings are made from plastic/rubber, they need to be painted with special flexible paint and baked in an oven.
This is at least what I was told once :Ponder: :Ponder: :Ponder: .
