I doubt that a 36cm lifting range is even capable of taking the wheels of a standard VR4 off the ground.

I went down to Halfrauds about this & they never gave me my £25 plus the trolley jack :speechles

Well gutted

Plus I could lift it so there's no way it weighed 2 ton /pan

Their standard 2 tonne is upto 38cm and works perfectly fine so can't see the 20mm being a problem.

I purchased a 2 ton trolley jack from Halfords a few years ago, and tried it on both my V6 and my VR4 and the rear wheels didn't lift off the floor! Just saying...! :)

My current Clarke 3ton jack with a ~540mm lifting height is brilliant, however!

i bought the 1.5 ton 4x4 jack, went under standard height fine and lifted plenty high enough. probably used it 2/3 times a week and after a couple of months use it twisted, always lifts 1, some times 2 of the wheels up at the back. gradually started lowering itself with time. mate had a small standard halfords jack, same thing.
would never buy any halfords tools that weren't their top range advanced/professional again.

have a blue point now, think its 2ton, plenty of lift. heavy as hell tho
