So I've just bought a set of Tein coilovers. Few questions to people who have Tein coilovers
How low will they go.
What kind of natural camber does the legnum give when lowered on the front and back.
Is there any issues with going super low with the legnum. Certain cars clearance issues. My old mx5 doff used to scrape on the road and my old 200 sx exhaust center section used to scrape in the peak of a road. Is there any mechanical clearance issues

Thanks

First thing to hit the floor will be downpipe, even on not soo lowered car. Worst is that bumper not touch the ground to give you warning.

On 17 inch evo enki wheels with the teins wound all the way to the bottom, my car catches absolutly everything!
The down pipes have need flexis replaced often as they just wear through, the rear tyres catch the rear face of the rear arces when you hit a bump in the road, my front bumper and intercooler have even contacted the road if the dip is big enough, and speed bumps are an absolute pain in the arse.
Having said that, I still wont wind them up :-) Just learn to live with it and pick your route carefully.

great thanks for the information. Any pictures of how low your car is. I want mine absolutely decked.
I'm not to worried about it scraping just wanted to make sure it not the sump or fuel lines. Etc.

What does it ride like with tein I've heard good things. At the moment my car feels like a boat. I had tein on my 200 and they were great

For my tastes they are a little on the soft side. After driving other cars they feel realy stiff for about 10min then i get used to them again. But like i say personaly i would like them stiffer. For example in my vw the only flex is in the tyres. :-) If you wind them up a bit that will increase the preload on the springs and make them a touch stiffer. Will upload photos later (on my phone just now).

How do i adjust the height with teins

The teins i bought are low down spec super wagon coilovers. They don't seem to have outer bottom sleeve that adjust the ride height. the two collars around the bottom of the spring just make the spring smaller or larger they don't actually make the coil over shorter or longer.

They aren't dual perch then, just wind the lock rings down to get the low you want. Only downside is the shock and spring preload aren't sitting at the optimum position for best performance, and when you jack it up the springs may flop about. You can fix that with assister springs (see demon tweeks) that sit on top of your main springs. They are coilbound until you jack it up. (or yump it off a bridge!)

I fitted my Tein Low Down Super wagon coilovers today. The rear sits perfect but i can't seem to get the front lower. Has anyone else fitted these Tein coilovers and how low could you go. That is as low as it goes. Frecking annoyed is an understatement.

You could take one of the lock rings off to gain a little more low but looking at the poke you have on the front I don't think you'll want to. Without massive camber and stretched tyres at least.
I don't have tein but here's mine on 8j front and 9j rear et33 215/45.
It's low but practical and scrapes on speed bumps but not too badly.http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/08/db086c55428e1e5b11ca17a9530c888e.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/08/469251418e6a99ff695d69c88e5e93e8.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/08/3b8969105c6b379835f9e6bfe49e0833.jpg

they are 245 up front. need to change them to 205 or 215 really.

I've called up tein today, i think i will get some shorter springs for the front. i would like a lot of camber up front to get the tyres under the arch. i would like this amount of camber.

Yeah that's a sick car! Hope you don't plan to drive it though if static and that low! My coileys have been on for 4 weeks and have already split 2 driveshaft gaiters!

Thicken up the front part of the downpipe and weld a cover over de front flexi. That worked for me after a couple of busted downpipes/flexis :)
