Wellington Region Catch-Up

Well it's been a while since I was last online (CVR4) and been busy, so thought it was about time I at least caught up with people.
I will be away this weekend (17th & 18th) however should be free from there-on...however I will only be able to do Saturday mornings.

I did post this awhile ago and was unsure if Wellington Region was still 'around'. I am still keen for a meet up, but I want a bit of a drive as well rather than just meeting at a cafe.
While trying to figure out what to do, I thought of maybe a drive to Lake Ferry with a packed lunch (or taking a portable BBQ).

Normally I cannot do Sundays due to the son's swimming lessons and the wife's working times, so my preference would be a Saturday morning drive with lunch at destination?
However with the Christmas break coming up maybe a normal weekday is better?

I would keen to meet, but I have a reunion to attend to. If you could delay till the Sat after, I should be available. Or any time during the week.

Hi Dixon and Pierre, if the meet is on at 10.30am then Jo and I will drop by for a quick coffee at the cafe but we can't stay long as we have things to do latter in the morning.

OK guys (and girls), after the last attempt to have a small get together didn't eventuate, we'll try again.

My wife and I will be heading over to the Gladstone Inn for brunch after being told about the venue by friends who went there on a bike run recently. We will only NOT go should the weather be against us.

We will be stopping at the Information Area between the Haywards Interchange and Silverstream bridge on SH2 from 10.30am Sunday 1st February and heading off over the hill 10.40am.

I will post more details about Gladstone Inn and it's location, proposed route etc should people show any interest in joining us.................... /Banana

I would love to join but unfortunately I cannot do road trips on Sundays unless I can get back home by 1pm (Wife starts works at 2pm on Sundays).
However have a good trip and hope to catch up on another trip or meet up in Wellington :)

Just a small update: We are watching the weather with interest at the moment. Will post either tonight or early tomorrow morning if we decide the weather isn't suitable and we aren't going.

Ray, understand the issue regarding the restrictions on the days you can get away during weekends as I'm the same only Saturdays are out for me as my wife usually works unless arrangements are made well in advance. ..... :(
