Hello my names Luke just bought my 1st legnum. Been on the forum for years as a stalker but now I got my legnum I thought I say hello. And also thanks to whoever runs this site without it and the amount of info available I wouldn't have got a legnum. Especially one that's a non runner. I did view it as good runner but since I left deposit after test drive the car wouldn't start but I love the car so much we sorted a deal and trailered it home. Been working on it few days sorting loads and servicing but still no start. Pictures and problems to come...

/Welcome

I am guessing I know which car you bought. It's been looked after better than many, so I hope the issue is easy to resolve.

Hi and welcome to the club.
we are normally a friendly bunch, so enjoy the fault finding, it will teach you a lot about the car and will stand you in good stead for future servicing.
ay question you have ask away.

still in the shed mate, call it long term storage and at a really low cost storage i am only charing you £1 a year to keep them, so make that about £7 you owe me, LOL.
when you get another VR4 i will bring them down.
hope all is well with you.

Thanks for warm welcome things have been slow but last couple weeks I've been busy doing manual conversion and various upgrades ready for bigger power. Got the car running was loose crank pulley. Currently mocking up exhaust manifolds and hardpipe kit. Just fitted shelby arbs and poly suspension bushes just wondering where's best place to do project thread. Managed to break a brittle matrix pipe whilst putting manual box on so looks like dash out for me. Not fun but can't wait to drive manual

I put mine in the general/questions forum in the VR4 area.

A loose crank pulley stopped it running? Was it so loose that the crank angle sensor was not reading properly?

pulley bolt came loose and trigger wheel move around 30degrees still cant get my head around how it happened as trigger wheel had pins and splined almost as if taken off and put back wrong. have pictures of how it came off but seems to fail upload pic from iphone.will update from computer soon.
