From all range of HKS boost controllers, series EVC is the best. Models #5 and #6 are very expensive. I would recommend EVC 3 or 4, later is better due to revised boost solenoid. Anyway, both are great in setup process due to self-learning mode.

Do not buy EVCS because they still use boost solenoid. a lot EVC 5 being auction in yahoo auction japan. the final fair price is vary, 20K - 25K yen. You may get it for less than 175 GBP shipped to UK. ask Jesse to do that for you.

Yea previous hks evc dont have rpm based boost map. We need that feature for the car accelerate faster for sure

It's not needed extra feature. Evc 5 and 6 are using the same 3 port as EVC4.
If EVC4 is set up correct in self learning mode then you will get rpm/solenoid duty cycle/offset etc already setup as should be. Steady flat boost as defined.

Evc 5 & 6 supposed to work together with HKS F-Con, hence monitor of rpm. Paul paulbonner84 in your setup these extra 200-300 GBP is just waste of money. Don't know were Ersan got his prices for 5 and 6, but after all import taxes it won't be less than 300 quid, that being very optimistic valuation.

As far as i am concern self learning mode is used to define base setup, make a correction to minimize boost spike. I dont know with evc 4 but evc 5 and 6 has rpm based setup grid. I need it to accelerate boost. Otherwise it was like you said evc just provide steady flat boost. And beside that evc 5 and 6 both has good looking and more compact and simple than 4. I won for my friend a used evc 5 for 25000 yen 2 months ago. Jesse did it for me and of course that just for the unit only
