I have a Fusion CA-IP500 currently installed in my car. I want to change it to something newer with bluetooth ect. I am just wondering, do I have to rewire everything? Or can I just pull the harness out of the old head unit and plug it straight into the new?

Depends on how its been installed. If the person has been an ass and cut all the wires and grafted on the fusion loom then it will have to be rewired.

If you are lucky enough to still have the factory plug in there, you can just buy the mitsi iso loom and plug that in. If you dont want to do ANY wiring, then you can get the h/u - iso plug which should match the mitsi - iso one.

Here are a couple of photos to show the difference(note this was for a Honda):

Iso - Iso:

With the wires twisted, soldered and heatshrinked:
70935

If they have left the factory plug and just used the iso one, you can cut the fusion head unit wires off and twist, solder and heatshrink/electrical tape the new head units ones on.

Cheers, i pulled it out to have a look. I'll take photos and post them up later so you can have a look. It would be good it i can just plug it in but probably not

I am no pro but it does look like the factory ones are still there.
