Here I have my old damaged carbon fiber bonnet. Unfortunately that was my mistake, released it but forgot to close it properly, you can imagine what happened after that :(
The bonnet is repairable and perfect for respray. Face of the bonnet is not damaged, no crakcs as well as back of the bonnet. Fitting points are all fine as well, no damage to hinge threads.
I took a lot of pictures so hopefully that will help.
£40 + collection in person from Luton.

Not wanting to Hijack this thread. I would start a separate one but I feel this could be relevant to anybody interested in purchasing this especially given the price.

How would one go about repairing carbon fibre. My bonnet has some small cracks similar to those circled in the pic below and also the edges look scraped like yours too:

If you or Mods feel this is better suited to its own thread then just say and I will start one.

Hi chris,

I'd snap your hand off for this if i was not over in Northern Ireland. I dread to imagine the postage cost for that. I'm sure someone will be taking it off your hands.

With regard to fixing it. It will never look as good as you will be trying to replicate the gel coat of that the mould would have given it. Me, i would have repaired it with resin and extra cloth and then had those parts painted.

Very tempted, will it fit in the boot of a legnum?

When would you be about for collect?

They do fit in the back of a legnum, seats down and sideways. It's tight!

Hi Chris,
This will teach me for bad admin and not getting in touch, if Adam decides against I'll take it and Rikki has kindly offered to look after it for us.
Cheers

Little bit awkward situation. I don't mind any of you guys to have it so whoever comes first to collect it will get it.
I think that's fair.

Hi Chris, I text you earlier, am I right in my understanding that the bonnet has been sold to someone else following our agreement of cash on collection this Friday?

Bit odd seeing as we made that arrangement yesterday afternoon...

I had only one bonnet. Can't satisfy all interested.
The person got it was first and that's it. Any way it was taking too long to sort it out properly but it's sorted.
