Quick question guys.

I have been offered a 1999 UK estate car.

Is it a Galant vr-4 estate or a VR-4 Legnum?.

Guy told me its an official Ralliart car that they sold when new? How can I verify that?

Just trying to get an insurance quote and want to make sure I am entering the correct information.

Thanks

Iirc the estates were badges as Legnums in Japan and Galants over here. My 3 VR4 saloons have all been Ralliart supplied cars and they all had the white safety stickers on the sun visors and the fuel info sticker inside the fuel flap.

The only real benefit of Ralliart supplied cars is that it should have the cold pack and a beefier alternator. Well that and that they were undersealed when imported but that will have worn away by now so make sure you check the car properly for signs of rot.

There aren't many that were registered new in the UK that aren't official ralliart imports.
Some dealers changed the lettering on the back of the estates from legnum to galant but they all left the factory as legnums.
If it is a 1999 V and the registration ends eou then I would guarantee that it is an official import.
