Hi all,

Well what to say, apart from hello, maybe an apology is in order as well. Sorry if I have upset any moderators with any of my posts and also for advertising my car for sale before having the relevant input on the forum. I was a bit put out when my first post and pics were removed without me being informed why or indeed that they had been. If it was posted somewhere that I didn't notice, I wasn't aware of it.
I didn't just join to sell a car, I will need some info for one of the cars I have but the legnum was taken as a part ex on another car I sold and I have too many toys already, lol.

Anyway, I'll follow the rules and wait until I've asked a few questions and placed some posts before advertising it again, just means I get to drive it for a while longer, so it's a win win situation.

Thanks

I'm not a moderator any more but that post is appreciated. :)

So tell us about your car, pics are always good! ;)

Hi Nick,
It's a 96 model in mauve, nice clean example. The odometer reads 125,000 but the guy I got from said that it was a combination of KPH and MPH so probably closer to 90,000. Has a dvd player but the frequency of the radio seems to be slightly off ( I was thinking it might just need a UK ariel instead of the Jap one in the rear side window ).
Everything seems to work as it should and all the wheel arches are solid, also MOT'd until January 2016. Haven't worked out how to add pics on here as yet, but as soon as I do, I'll put some up

Thanks

Welcome. You need a frequency expander, there are dozens listed on ebay, here is one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FM-Band-Frequency-Expander-Japanese-Car-Radio-Converter-AM-Bypasses-Directly-/150881349666?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item23213ab022

Aye, what John said about the frequency expander. Or just a new stereo! Changing the aerial will help reception but it won't change the frequency offset issue.

Thanks for the info on the expanders, I'll check them out

If you need more info about the car you should contact Darren.
I think it's his ex Legnum. Does the car have big Japanese war flag sticker at the back and/or carbon engine cover?
Cheers,
Mac

It has a Japanese drift flag on the back window but no engine cover, no Matt black bonnet either, could be the same car though

Darrens car also had a Gizzmo MS-IBC boost controller

I've no idea where that would be, lol

Should be somewhere where you can visibly see the blue numbers flashing/cycling through when you floor it.
