help please

I have just joined the VR-4 club and will be going to look at my first VR-4 weekend after next.

It's a 1999 VR-4 'type S' with a semi-auto box.

I have not seen the 'type S' bit before so does anyone know what it relates to and is the semi-auto gearbox a good thing or not.

Any sound advise would be most welcome.

Aye. The resources tab will help lots.

Try searching the site for 'manual tiptronic'. There have been many arguments over gearbox type, so you should get a good idea of general opinion.

Also, let us know where you are. It could well be that you are close to a member who doesn't mind showing you round their car, and or going to see the one you intend buying.

For sure, would like to visit anyone who's local with a VR4, it's early days for me with these cars so a bit hungry for info and the like...
