Injectors

Hi all,

I replaced the filter baskets on the injectors in the Anglia, and don't know what I did differently to the previous time, but I've now had 3 of them fail wide open. I've cleaned them out and they're slightly better, but rather than risk any more letting go whilst I'm driving it properly, I'm looking to replace all 6 with a different set, and I won't be replacing the filters this time!


So - has anyone got a full set of 6 available for me at a decent price that they would otherwise be throwing away...? ;)

How did you find that they where stuck open? How did you clean them? Might be my next plan of attack.

Massively over fuelling, petrol pouring out of the exhaust.

Lifted fuel rail, and fuel gushing out with ignition on.


Attempts to clean them back out by blowing air & brake cleaner through them. Worked temporarily, but I think it only dislodged the dirt that got in there when changing the filter baskets, because 2 of them have since failed open again after cleaning them out.

I will not risk replacing the filters on any more, personally.
