Dyno run

Hey guys. Had the car down for a dyno run today the purpose was to get the car checked for boost leaks but the guy doing the dyno couldn't get the power down with the auto box so did not obtain a max bhp or printout. Have any of you guys had this problem with a dyno. Cheers

What do you mean get the power down?

Do you mean the tyres were spinning on the rollers.

Or do you mean the guy left the car in drive D and tried to do a power run rather than doing the obvious thing and putting it in tip and doing the run in 3rd or 4th.

I think he left the car in drive and came out with the gearbox won't allow him to use the full power so couldn't get a reading. A bit disappointed not to get the reading but overall was a successful day as I have a few major boost leaks that we found using the smoke machine. That was the reason I was doing it. Once all that is sorted will try another place to get the reading.

It's not ideal, but you should still be able to get a power reading in D, albeit with gear changes!
