Hi All

Have searched the forum but cannot find anything conclusive... is there a rebuild kit for the standard turbo's? Mine have done over 150k now and although working must be pretty close to being kanckered.

Yes there is eBay job . I have bought a few kits in the past. But I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head.
You should get the CHRA balanced afterwards but you don't have to, depending how careful you are when disassembling and bilding, the choice is yours.

Couldn't find a rebuild kit on ebay but did find these...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321456061331?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Looks a good price I think and I suppose as good as fitting new turbos. Any thoughts?

I meant something like is

Now I am not saying this is what you need, there are threads on here with the correct kit listed.
It was in a turbo rebuild thread.

You can get more comprehensive kits that include all bits rather than having to clean and reuse some original bit like this kit but you pay a little more for them.

Again I am not saying this is the correct kit it is just an example.

You have to do you own research on this subject and consider carefully if you are going to get the parts balanced afterwards and calculate the costs involved. Some places will not balance a turbo or parts of a turbo if they did not do the refurb themselves.
So do your research.
