Hi guys,
A friend of mine made me a carbon engine cover a few months back, it's holding pretty well so far, and the originals are ever so hard to come by, so I've decided to share the joy :) He can make both carbon and regular resin ones and they can be fully customized as in colors, stickers, with and without rised letters. The covers are made on order and take about a week or a bit more depending on customizations.

Prices are 160 GBP/220 EUR for a carbon one (the one in the pictures) and 105 GBP/140 EUR for a resin one (pictures comming soon) + about 10 GBP shipping from Bulgaria. The resin one can also be made unpainted which will lower the price significantly. Payments can be made using Paypal, if you have any questions or need more pictures feel free to ask :)

I'm amazed there hasn't been more interest in this.
Old Crazyken had loads of orders but couldn't seem to deliver the goods :upsidedow

I would love one but I have now been bitten twice on here money wise, totaling almost £250. So absolutely no disrespect to yourself but I have made the decision not to buy anything else unless I desperately need to...Colin.

Wow, I go on vacation and suddenly some interest sparks up :) I'll try to answer everything so bear with me:
First off sorry to Smurph about missing his message, postage to anywhere in Australia would be 44 EUR. I could look into finding cheaper options though.
pdorsett - these are made by hand on order in Bulgaria by my friend Dimitar, unfortunately he has a ton of work at the moment (he's doing his master's degree and a couple of widebody cars) and the next cover will be started in about two months at the earliest.
Piers1989 - thanks for the interest, I will ask my friend for pictures - he promised to send me some back when I wrote the original post. I think he has one to show and eventually sell.
vr4drifta - you are correct - the cover in the pictures had both bottom left and bottom right holes slightly missaligned, this has been sorted out in the next cover which has been made for a member of this site (he will post some feedback soon). Pictures attached.
Gingerfish - unfortunately we may be facing the same situation with my friend as well - he is quite busy and has some larger projects to attend to, and these covers are quite time consuming (3-4 weeks). The next one may be started in about 2 months.
carfanatic - what do you mean by "I would love one but I have now been bitten twice"? That you have paid for something you haven't received?
Finally some pictures from the last cover my friend has done. As you may notice the design of the part saying 2500 V6.... has been updated to cover the holes

Sorry for any confusion, this was not you. I have paid someone in the forum and no parts arrived and also sold something that the money did not arrive for. Once again, this was not you. Colin.

can you guarantee this item withstands the engine heat? vr4 engine heat is awesome, even engine rocker cover surface has normal temperature 80-90 degree celcius, i live in tropical country by the way

well mine has been holding up pretty well so far, during the summer we get some pretty high temperatures around here too - 35-38C. Otherwise the cover (except the plaques with lettering) is made from a single piece carbon sheet so there is no chance that the main detail will fall apart. That is why you may notice that the carbon weave is not "straight" around the oil filler cap.

What do you mean? Both covers are in plain weave.

Well my friend who makes these says that this is unavoidable unless he cuts the lowered part of the sheet that is directly around the cap and stick it together when covering with epoxy. He said that this will compromise durability in the long term..
