Does anyone have any opinons on the best seats to replace the std pre-facelift items in the VR4? Zeddy's got a pair of Cobra sidewinders which look quite nice...but I've never sat in cobras. Ex-EVO Recaros go for 400-500 for fronts and rears - my Subaru used to have these, and they were very comfortable. Thing is, I don't like to pay for a name :|

Then there are plenty of cheaper imitations...

Help!!!

Just like with most things, you pay for what you get. I've sat in corbeau and then cobra seats ant the cobra's feel so much better.

I personally like the facelift VR4 recaros. They are like hens teeth to find second hand, though, and the price reflects the rarity!

Aftermarket items I have no idea about.

Is that a question or a statement?

If it's a Q, I doubt they'd fit as the legnum has split folding rears, whereas the EVO is fixed. May be wrong though.

the VR4 saloon has fixed rear seats.... but i would expect the rear seats from the EVO would be slightly narrower

Mmm. Problem is that the Evo breakers won't sell the fronts separate from the rears - one of them suggested I could sell the rears on myself -sure - big demand for evo rear seats eh!

i currently have the older shape galant vr4..

one of the galantvr4.org guys has just finished putting evo 8 seats in his car

usually they put race buckets in though.. maybe you could see if one of those guys wanted to buy the rears and you buy the fronts?

Not many of the older shape VR4's around in the UK, so the market would be very limited. Out of cash at the moment, and some big brembo's set to chew up any available pennies, so the interior is on hold.

You can buy the type S factory style recaros from Demon Tweeks in the UK, the seats were actually a recaro line that were used in the car (I think), problem is they are listed at £600 each!

I think the proper name for them are called "Recaro Style" I saw it in an OZ mag Recaro ad somewhere.

Oh btw, did you know the bottom part of the seat can extend to allow for more leg support? :0! Feels so much better...
