Hi folks,

I'm looking at refurbishing a couple of AYC pumps and wondered what people generally thought they'd be worth?

The only example I found was here (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?61495-Refurbished-AYC-pump) for £275 and commercial services (http://www.autotorque.net/mitsubishi-evo-ayc-acd-pump-repair-specialists/) sell them from £599 upwards.

You'll find the poll at the top of the page, please be fair when you choose what you'd pay as refurbishing them requires locating and buying a dead pump, a couple of hours labour (minimum) and requires £60 in parts

£60 parts is a good price, i fond a kit to refurb ayc pumps for £90-£100.

it can be really, really time consuming depending how corroded the pump is. good luck mate.

Mine cost me 250-300 as i had to put new solonid ends on to was ok till i dropped it on the bench. There stock are very brittle i would def only by a pump with these replaced
My kit was £80 rebuild kit 100 each solonid end + my time and i had a pymp that had only just started to fail + i used my own pump.

The hardest bit is getting the pump part off the oil distributor part i found it far easyer to put a slit down the outer edge to free it from the two bolts (these will snap 100% of the time)

If you just do the rebuild not the rest and they all go ok you should cost around 60-100 for parts and 2-3 hours labour small garage rates are around 40-55 an hour i would say 150-250 per unit if they supply unit if not add 150-200 a unit asuming the new unit it working and no other parts need replacing.

As a possibility, you could also add a surcharge on top which is then refunded when the removed dead pump is sent back to you. That way you should always have a dead pump ready to refurb and add to your stock.
