Just something I've been thinking about/wondering.

Is there any benefits or detrimental reasons on the different locations for the dump valve?

I know I have mine on the pipe that leads upto the throttle body, but that was just by luck when I bought the valve, it came with that pipe. And it stays cleaner, away from the road muck.

You're all right Colin. Doesn't much matter if there is one half way from intercooler or closer to throttle. Up to your like.

I have seen some on the other side of the engine, opposite to the throttle body, just wondering the reason for that apart from cosmetic choice.

Some people do place the BOV on the hot side before the intercooler. Makes sense really as your dumping hot air rather than cooled. Probably be louder as well due to the pressure being higher pre-intercooler
