The left connector in first pic does not seem to have the locking clip correctly snapped into place. This clip. Locks the individual wires into the plastic housing.
This could cause a bad connection to the ecu.
Well that is what it look like to me.

Yes - but only with a basic modification to the standard tune. It requires different software to the later, plastic-cased ECUs, but it can be done by those people with the necessary hardware and software.

If you want something more fancy (switched maps, for performance & economy, or Check Engine Light on Knock) then you will be needing a plastic-cased 7202/7203 to run Kenneth's ECU mods. These can then be flashed slightly easier.

I have all the appropriate software, cables, attachments and dongle. to remap and 7201 ecu, and all the other ecus in the VR4 family.
